Chasing Meaning, Building Momentum

After studying Economics, training at a high level in swimming, and trying out for the Canadian Olympic Team three times (spoiler alert: I didn’t make the team!) I did the only logical thing: I moved to Hong Kong and became a commodities trader. For three years, I bartered metals by day, haggled futures contracts by night, and closed deals in five languages. It was fast, it was global, and it was just... not quite me.

So I left. I picked up a camera and started telling stories instead. That leap became a creative agency focused on travel and hospitality, where I partnered with brands like United Airlines, Expedia, Amtrak, and Adobe. For nearly a decade, I led global campaigns and turned meaningful travel into emotional media that moved the needle on brand affinity.

Late in 2023, I broke my neck — an accident that pressed pause on everything. It didn’t take long to realize that I was ready for a new kind of movement. In the months that followed, I redesigned my life, focusing on values, on community, and on the things that light me up the most.

Today, I split my time consulting for organizations and founders with big, bold ideas; speaking on creativity, purpose, and marketing; and creating with the rhythm and heat of glassblowing. I am still swimming, though not for medals, and have recently stepped behind the mic as a commentator, with hopes of calling Olympic races soon.

If I make it to my 80s, I want to be just as curious and full of wonder as I was when I was 4.
